Description
Genelec 8030.LSE Power Pak Plus
The Genelec 8030.LSE PowerPak is comprised of five 8030A near-field monitors matched with the 7060B subwoofer. The 8030A is a small, bi-amplified, 2-way speaker with twin 40 Watt amplifiers and shielded 5″ and 0.75″ low- and high-frequency drivers, housed in a sturdy die-cast aluminum enclosure, designed for use in any professional audio production environment where space considerations are paramount.
The two unique features of the 8030A are the MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) cabinet design, and the Iso-Pod (Isolation Positioner/Decoupler) speaker mount. The MDE design, with its rounded, curved cabinet edges, improves spatial imaging and playback consistency. The Iso-Pod is a positioning mount that raises and isolates the speaker from the rumble and resonances often caused by surface placement.
The two 8030A rear-panel connectors are 3-pin XLRs, providing both an input and an output for daisy-chain 5.1 surround expansion needs, or use with a subwoofer. A modest complement of tone control DIP switches allows for adjustment to the room’s acoustic environment, and a bass port improves low-end reproduction.
The 7360APM subwoofer features a 10″ driver, powered by a robust 120 Watt amplifier, housed in Genelec’s proprietary LSE (Laminar Spiral Enclosure) bass reflex cabinet. This design combines minimized enclosure noise with tight, consistent signal dispersion, a characteristic of laminar. The rear panel provides a bass management unit featuring six separate XLR I/Os, and a pair of summed signal outputs. The amplifier unit, with active crossover filters and driver overload protection, is adjacent to an ample set of tone, phase, and filter controls.
The 8030A.LSE PowerPak is a worthy and progressive solution as a 5.1 surround monitoring system for studio and A/V post or multi-media applications.
8030B Active Two-Way 5″ Studio Monitor (Single, Black)
The black 8030B Active Two-Way 5″ Studio Monitor from Genelec provides an accurate reproduction of the source material in a compact form-factor with high output. Its die-cast aluminum enclosure features a rounded shape, which minimizes distortions caused by edge diffraction. The metal dome tweeter is surrounded by a smoothly-shaped Directivity Controlled Waveguide, which helps to create an even response when listening both on and off-axis.
The 8030B is built with Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) technology which automatically activates the speaker when an audio signal is detected and puts it in Standby Mode when no signal is present, reducing the energy consumption to less than 0.5 watts. The 8030B features a 40-watt high-frequency amplifier for its 3/4″ tweeter, and a 40-watt low-frequency amplifier for its 5″ woofer. The bass response is expanded by a rear-facing reflex port, and a separately available Genelec 7050B active subwoofer can be used to monitor a wider array of frequencies.
An included Iso-Pod table stand insulates the speaker from vibration and enables you to tilt its position upward or downward
The Iso-Pod can be attached to the base or side of the monitor, for vertical or horizontal positioning
Well-suited for near-field studio monitoring, editing suites, control rooms, surround sound applications, multimedia entertainment systems, and production vehicles
Rear-facing Tone Controls enable you to optimize the speaker to its environment
Multiple mounting options: 3/8″ threaded hole on base and threaded holes for Omnimount brackets
More compatible mounting accessories are available separately
Front-facing volume knob
Active crossover filters
Driver unit protection circuitry
Fully magnetically shielded
7360A SAM 300W 10″ SAM-Series Studio Subwoofer
Delivering a level of performance often associated with much larger enclosures, the Genelec 7360A SAM (Smart Active Monitoring) Subwoofer is a 10″, 300W active subwoofer, well suited for discerning professionals in music, post, film, and broadcast. The 7360A combines the Laminar Spiral Enclosure (LSE) technology with AutoCal and GLM control network technologies. Genelec’s AutoCal allows the unit to automatically align multiple subwoofers for level, timing, crossover phase, and equalization of room response anomalies. Providing extended low-frequency performance, accurate tonal characteristics, and high dynamic capabilities, the 7360A supports a distributed bass management architecture.
This subwoofer offers 7.1 channel analog XLR inputs and outputs together with stereo AES/EBU XLR inputs and outputs without the need for additional external AD converters. The 300W Class-D amplifier unit is integrated into the enclosure and contains DSP crossover filters, driver overload and protection circuitry. The Genelec 7360A is the low-frequency monitoring tool for music studios, mobile vans, digital workstations, radio and TV broadcasting, providing remarkable sound clarity, definition, and neutrality.
