The RCF SUB 9004-AS is a single 18” high power active subwoofer. It employs a state-of-the-art transducer featuring a hypervented high power neodymium magnetic circuit with a 4” voice coil. The extremely high power amplifier is a new design that delivers extended low-frequency performance. Due to its rugged construction, it is perfect for AV rental inventories.

RCF RDNet

NETWORKED CONTROL AND MUCH MORE
RDNet is a robust management network and control platform for small, medium, and large arena-sized sound systems, as well as complex and extended installations. Based on a proprietary network protocol, RDNet provides intuitive control and monitoring of every connected device/object in the RCF audio system. Each device has DSP to address specific presets or modifications of parameters to single or groups of objects. A network user can change level, delay, EQ (linear phase FiR as well) and other settings, including advanced subwoofer configurations. RDNet is not only designed for loudspeakers—you can control parameters and routing of multiple RCF devices, such as digital matrixes or amplifiers.

TOP-END ELECTRONICS

The amplifier integrates a low-noise 32-bit DSP circuit, controlled through the RCF proprietary RDNet network to easily handle the soft clipping limiters, RMS limits, polarity, amplitude, timing, and equalization. All the settings, monitoring, and advanced features are available inside the RDNet Networked Management software. The available control panel on the back adjusts input sensitivity, Low Cut, Xover, volume, bypass, delay, and presets selection. The regulated power supply guarantees full power from 100 V to 260 V. The amplifier houses on a unique Vibrostop floating aluminum panel for extra protection during transportation.

HYPERVENTILATION SYSTEM

RCF manufactures these components to deliver the cleanest, punchiest, and undistorted low frequencies reproduction. The cone is composed of 30% carbon fiber, 20% fiberglass and 50% cellulose pulp. This particular chemical composition has been carefully developed to improve the robustness and rigidness of the cone avoiding any deformation that would result in a loss of efficiency. The 4.0″ inside/outside voice coil is wounded on a strong fiberglass former and guarantees a more efficient cooling. The former is internally and externally reinforced with Nomex that stiffens the overall structure for a better energy transfer between the voice coil and the body cone. In order to dissipate the heat generated by the powerful voice coil, RCF engineers have developed the unique Hyper Ventilation system with very low power compression. The cone is water-resistant.

CABINET

The cabinet is made of high-quality birch plywood with weatherproof treatment. The subs are stackable and lightweight, for easy set-up and tear down. A pole receptacle on the top and side allows the woofer to be used in various configurations. The heavy-duty coating and the rugged structure of the cabinet withstand long-term use and transportation and the separate housing for the amplifier guarantees component efficiency and reliability. Transportation is fast thanks to the detachable Kart kit, a dolly caster-board with rugged tour grade casters, and a rotating cam mechanism.
