CD/SD/USB Player with Bluetooth® receiver and FM/AM tuner

About this item

A professional media player offering the latest audio content playback options

Ideal for a variety of installations, the CD-400U delivers the latest wireless and solid-state technology content playback by offering CD, Bluetooth wireless, SD, USB, and AM/FM tuner capability for fast and easy playback of professional quality audio. Recording from the CD or AM/FM source to SD or USB media is possible.

Professional audio connections are provided in the form of XLR balanced outputs, RCA unbalanced outputs, the 2nd set of RCA outputs dedicated to the AM/FM audio, an 1/8″ auxiliary input for utilizing audio from any source, and headphones for quick and silent monitoring and confirmation of operation.

The CD-400U has also been designed for full-proof and automatic operation with the inclusion of a “panel lock” function which disables the panel buttons, and an automatic playback function which starts playback upon power up.

Lastly, to ensure seamless integration into more complete systems, external control is possible using the standard RS-232C terminal.

Music playback from CDs, USB memory devices, and SD cards

The CD-400U supports a wide range of media including audio CDs, data CDs, USB memory devices, and SD and SDHC cards, supporting WAV, MP3, AAC, and WMA formats. The CD-400U is ideal for contractors where playback of a wide range of media and files is required.

Playback modes (continuous playback, single playback, and random playback) can also be combined with repeat playback function settings (on/off) to suit a wide range of situations.

Wireless streaming from Bluetooth® devices

Your digital music library can be played back from Bluetooth® devices such as smartphones, tablets, and portable music players. Once the device is paired with the CD-400U, a wireless connection can be made quickly by simply pressing the pairing button. This enables easy playback of audio files without fussing with cables or file formats.

* The CD-400 can be now individually identified via Bluetooth as “CD-400-xxxx” (xxxx being the unit’s individual number). This applies to units whose serial number starts with 206 and upwards only. The serial number can be checked on the unit’s rear panel.

A built-in AM/FM tuner

The CD-400U accommodates an AM/FM tuner with 20FM + 20 AM presets. An independent tuner output connector is equipped on the back, enabling simultaneous playback with other media on the unit.

An auxiliary external input connector

The CD-400U equips a stereo mini AUX IN connector on the front panel for easy access., allowing users to play audio from portable music players without a Bluetooth® connection.

Analog audio outputs in Balanced and Unbalanced

The CD-400U equips both XLR balanced output and RCA unbalanced connectors. This makes the unit suit for a wide range of settings, from background music in small facilities such as restaurants and offices to public facilities such as halls.

Versatile dubbing function

Audio from an audio CD or tuner can be dubbed to an SD/SDHC card or USB memory device using only the CD-400U – no need for a computer. Just press the dubbing button and play the audio to start dubbing.

Incremental Play to move to the beginning of the next track

When the Incremental Play function is enabled, the CD-400U skips to the beginning of the next track as the PLAY button is pressed during playback. When the STOP button is pressed during playback, the unit skips to the beginning of the next track and stands by. This is useful for situations such as presentations where tracks are not played to the end.

Remote control via an RS-232C and an Ethernet on option card.

As a standard feature, the CD-400U equips an RS-232C connector, allowing the unit to work with various remote control commands required by contractors. An optional Ethernet card – enabling the same serial control – is scheduled to release in the future.
